Beginning from scratch - we start to get the feel of things
with 6-count Jitterbug & then take it into Lindy-Hop!
More Swing: 8:30 - 9:45pm
Once we get the fundamentals down then there
is so much more Jitterbug & Lindy that we can do!

Glover GIll plays some great Tango from 8:00 till 9:00 then the El Orbits play until late (last time I was there they played till about 11:30).
You will want to also check out Big Easy (map) on Thursday Nights for Luther and The Healers. There are often dancers there and no more smoke! :)

There's a GREAT 1st SATURDAY MONTHLY DANCE from HSDS happening next on Saturday December 6th, 8pm - Midnight, at NiaMoves (3221 Houston - map)!
The cover is only $3 and the music is like the Borders Dance used to be. You can request anything from Swing, Old Skool, Blues, West Coast, "silly", you name it — if they have it they'll play it.
Special note: No street shoes allowed on the dance floor, dance shoes are welcome! Dance in socks or bare feet at your own risk. Water again will be sold.

The Texas Aggie Swing Cats next monthly dance is Saturday January 31st, 2009; 8pm - Midnight.
(They will not have a monthly dance in December and the Janurary date is tentative. I'll check on the date again soon after the new year.)
